Desiree Gargano


Desiree M. Gargano is Of Counsel and head of our Employment Law Group.  Desiree represents both employers and employees in connection with a wide variety of employment related matters.  With over 10 years of experience, Desiree guides clients through issues including wage and hour disputes, discrimination based upon race, sex, religion, national origin, age and disability, sexual harassment, terminations, and other disciplinary actions.  Desiree is a seasoned litigator and regularly appears in federal and state court, and before government administrative agencies, fighting to protect her client’s rights. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts.

Prior to joining Morrin & Sands PLLC, Desiree worked at a national firm as well as a local midsize firm predominantly representing management in employment matters.  Desiree earned her Juris Doctor in December 2012 from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. She was a Staff Member of Touro Law Review, made the Dean’s List multiple terms, was the Treasurer and then President of the Environmental Law Society, was the Evening Vice President of the International Law Students Association and competed in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. Desiree further received CALI Awards for Academic Excellence in Legal Process I, Legal Process II (Best Brief), Civil Disobedience, Civil Practice Externship and Administrative Law.   Desiree earned her undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Long Island University C.W. Post Campus where she made Dean’s List multiple terms and graduated cum lade with high honors.
